PADRENOSTRO – SegnoCinema’s review

November 4th, 2020

“Inspired by real and autobiographical facts (the director Claudio Noce is Alfonso’s son), the film in fact chooses to filter history by focusing on the inner dimension of suffering of a childhood trauma that is difficult to heal. The result is a family novel capable – at least at times – of communicating with delicacy and depth the difficulties of being and feeling like children, at the crossroads between childhood and adolescence. The work is characterized by some mutually connected aspects. First of all, the prevalence of the psychological dimension over historical restitution. The heavy temperament of the so called “anni di piombo” can be breathed through the short breath of the two main characters, crushed by the anxiety of death (the commissioner) and loss (his son). “
