Marco Bellocchio's 'MARX CAN WAIT' is 'Film of the Year' 2022

June 15th, 2022

Rome, 15 June - Marx can wait by Marco Bellocchio is the 'Film of the Year' at the Nastri d'Argento 2022. This was announced by the Italian Cinema Journalists (SNGCI) who will present the awards in Rome, at the Maxxi National Museum of XXI Century Arts next Monday, 20 June.

A decision that welcomes among the titles of the most interesting and exciting cinema of the year the very personal journey into the family memory of an author who, with this film, adds to nostalgia the painful tale of a collective and, above all, intimate feeling.

"Marx can wait leaves a special mark in the history of cinema of this time that has changed our lives," explains Laura Delli Colli, President, on behalf of the SNGCI National Board. "This is why we chose it among the films, not locking it, although among the excellences, only in the world and in the 'category' of the most touching and lucid cinema of the real".
