To tell a story you need a voice – air passing through the vocal cords, the sound swelling in space and reaching the eardrums, vibrating.
To understand a story you need a brain and a heart – flesh and blood, a past and dreams, and low-frequency electricity passing through neurons.
To tell a story about a life you need a woman and three men – her father, her partner, and her son – three dinners for exchanging glances and disappointments, hands and time intertwining.
