Marco Bellocchio will receive the Palme d'honneur in Cannes. On 17 July, during the closing ceremony, Cannes will present the Italian director with a lifetime achievement award. This is a very important tribute from one of the most important film festivals to the director from Bobbio who has been able to innovate and move people with his work, as Pierre Lescure, president of the Cannes Film Festival, emphasises: "Marco has always questioned institutions, traditions, personal and collective history. In each of his works, almost involuntarily, or at least in the most natural way possible, he revolutionises the established order. Awarding him the Palme d'Or d'Honneur is a natural thing for us and for all those who admire his work".
