Volare, the directorial debut of Margherita Buy, will have its premiere at the 2023 Rome Film Festival in the Grand Public section.

The movie follows the story of AnnaBì, a talented actress who could potentially achieve international success if only she could overcome her fear of flying. Her entire existence is tied to an airplane. Will she manage to conquer her irrational yet profoundly human fear?

Joining Margherita Buy in the film’s cast are Elena Sofia Ricci, Anna Bonaiuto, Giulia Michelini, Euridice Axen, Francesco Colella, Pietro Ragusa, Maurizio Donadoni, Roberto De Francesco, and Massimo De Francovich.

Volare is a production by Kavac Film, IBC Movie, Maremosso, Rai Cinema, and Tenderstories, in collaboration with ITA Airways.
