CANNES – “Yes, it’s a good moment for us, really…”. On the phone from Cannes, Moreno Zani, Chairman of Tenderstories, does not hide his enthusiasm for the unique moment the production company is experiencing. Last year at the Venice Film Festival he brought Pierfrancesco Favino and Padrenostro to the Coppa Volpi, this year on the Croisette, here he is with Marco Bellocchio and his Marx can wait. “An important documentary that had a very long gestation period,” reflects Zani, “but we were already very happy to have made it with Kavac and to have brought it here. Then came Thierry Frémaux’s decision to award Bellocchio the Palme d’Or d’Honneur, a rather rare recognition…”.
