Diciannove by Giovanni Tortorici will be featured at V'24 - Vienna International Film Festival
Diciannove by Giovanni Tortorici will be screened on October 24th during the 62nd edition of the Viennale.
Writer and director Giovanni Tortorici makes his big-screen debut, telling the unpredictable story of Leonardo, played by Manfredi Marini.
Nineteen is the age of Leonardo, a young man from Palermo who travels abroad for his studies but finds himself trapped in an inner conflict.
Leonardo leaves his native Sicily to attend university in London. However, the initial excitement soon fades as he lives with his sister and her roommate. Restless, he impulsively decides to transfer to the University of Siena to study literature and falls in love with the city. However, finding his literature professor unbearable, he drops out and chooses to study Italian classics independently. This reflective solitude leads him on an inner journey of self-discovery, enriched by encounters with vibrant young people. A year later, Leonardo travels to Turin, where he meets a man who might help him free himself from his obsessions.
