Ended filming on Una storia, the debut feature from Anna Foglietta, shot over six weeks in Rome starting January 19th, 2026. The film stars Alba Rohrwacher and Guido Caprino, with Elio De Capitani and Caterina Casini also joining the cast.

The film follows Erika and Mauro, a couple living a quiet, routine life in a small town. When their daughter leaves home to study, the house empties and the balance they have built their life around begins to crack. In the suspended time that follows, old wounds and forgotten desires resurface, and the crisis becomes an opportunity to truly see each other again.

“This film carries my story, not in an autobiographical sense, but in something deeper tied to the way I see the world,” said the director.

The screenplay is written by Anna Foglietta alongside Tania Pedroni and Matteo Ferri. A production by HT Film, Indigo Film, and Tenderstories with Rai Cinema and Blu One Film, with the participation of HBO Max.

The film will be released in Italian cinemas by BIM Distribuzione.
