On November 21st, 2025, Ornella Vanoni passed away in Milan at the age of 91. With her goes one of the most distinctive and beloved voices in Italian music: an artist whose career spanned more than sixty years, one hundred albums, and fifty-five million records sold worldwide.

Tenderstories had the privilege of telling her story. Senza Fine, the documentary directed by Elisa Fuksas and produced by Tenderstories alongside Wildside and Indiana Production, stands as the most intimate and unguarded portrait Ornella ever allowed. Presented at the Giornate degli Autori at the 2021 Venice Film Festival and winner of Best Documentary at the Festival del Cinema Italiano in Madrid, the film is neither biography nor tribute: it is an encounter. Set in a hotel outside of time and a spa with no fixed coordinates, it captures Ornella without filters, with her energy, her fatigue, her fierce irony, her way of being with music and with people. Around her, friends and musicians: Vinicio Capossela, Samuele Bersani, Paolo Fresu.

Now that Ornella is gone, Senza Fine becomes something even more rare: a proof that there was a way to pause with her for a moment and be in her company.
