April by Dea Kulumbegashvili earns 5 nominations at the 2024 Asia Pacific Screen Awards
The second feature film by Georgian director Dea Kulumbegashvili, produced by First Picture, Frenesy, MeMo, IFP, and Tenderstories, shines with an impressive five nominations at the 17th edition of the Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA).
After winning the Special Jury Prize at the 81st edition of Venice Film Festival, the film has cemented itself as one of the most anticipated and acclaimed works on the international cinema scene and will compete in five categories: best film, best director, best screenplay, best cinematography, and best performance for actress Ia Sukhitashvili.
The awards ceremony will take place on November 30 in Gold Coast, Australia.
