PRIMA COMUNICAZIONE - We are the stories
Venice double for films co-produced by Moreno Zani’s Tenderstories.
Who in this interview recalls his entry into the world of cinema, from his meeting with Valeria Golino to his collaboration with Luca Guadagnino. “We look for stories of life and passion, something that touches the soul”.
“What does it mean for us to be at the Venice Film Festival? The meaning is to give our product an important showcase. We are overjoyed to participate with three films in competition.
It means that we have worked well, the reception we have received from the public and the critics confirms this and it is already enough for us’.
The standing ovations after the screenings were not enough: the podium arrived. One of the films produced by Moreno Zani, Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Bones and All’, won the Silver Lion for Best Director at Venice 2022. While its star Taylor Russell won the Mastroianni Award for Best New Actress. ‘Bones and All’ was one of three Tenderstories productions in competition on the Lido this year. In addition to ‘Amanda’, which was in the Orizzonti Extra selection, there was also Gianni Amelio’s new film ‘Il signore delle formiche’, which reconstructed the trial suffered by Aldo Braibanti accused of plagiarism but actually brought to trial because of his homosexuality. And which was welcomed – in the Sala Grande in Venice – by a very long applause for the director and the protagonists Luigi Lo Cascio, Elio Germano and the young Leonardo Maltese.
