GHIACCIO in Italian cinemas on 7,8,9 February 2022
Vision Distribution, La Casa Rossa and Tenderstories announce the theatrical release as an event on 7, 8 and 9 February 2022 of the film Ghiaccio.
Produced by Francesca Verdini and written by the directors, Ghiaccio stars Giacomo Ferrara and Vinicio Marchioni. The cast also includes Claudio Camilli, Beatrice Bartoni, Sara Cardinaletti, Valerio Morigi, Lorenzo Grilli, Emanuele Propizio, Mauro Cremonini and Lidia Vitale. It is the directorial debut for singer-songwriter Fabrizio Moro – together with Alessio de Leonardis.
Rome, 1999: Giorgio (Giacomo Ferrara), a young boxing promise, lives with his mother in the degraded suburbs of the city. His father, murdered years before, has left his son a debt with the underworld that does not allow him to be a free man. With the help of Massimo (Vinicio Marchioni), who has a boxing background and sees in the boy the great champion he failed to become, Giorgio finally has a chance to redeem himself by entering the world of professional boxing. But the underworld of the suburbs never gives a chance to those who don’t bend to its rules.
The film is a La Casa Rossa production with Tenderstories in association with L’Università Telematica San Raffaele Roma in collaboration with SKY and in partnership with RTI and is distributed by Vision Distribution. The photography is by Simone Zampagni, the set design by Gabriele De Pascali, the costumes by Magda Accolti Gil and the editing by Luigi Mearelli. The original music is by Fabrizio Moro.
